More than 6–8 sprays is usually too many for everyday wear. If people notice your scent before you enter a room—or coworkers comment—you are overspraying. Dial back by one or two sprays.
Yes. Cold air reduces projection, so 4–6 sprays is often comfortable in winter when 2–3 would feel weak. Still match the count to concentration and how close you will be to other people.
Usually yes. Eau de Toilette is lighter, so 3–5 sprays is common. Eau de Parfum often needs 2–4, and Parfum or Elixir may only need 1–3. Always start low and adjust.
Pulse points work best: sides of the neck, chest, and inner wrists. Avoid rubbing wrists together. Skip hair and clothes if you want cleaner projection and less staining.
It is better not to. Fabric can hold scent longer, but oils may stain and the fragrance will not develop the same way it does on skin. Stick to skin for a more natural scent trail.
